WMS online casino operation secures Belgian operating licence

Last April's Belgian partnership deal with the Partouche group has benefitted WMS online casino subsidiary Jackpot Party, which this week secured a Belgian online gambling licence.

Part of the Williams Interactive group within WMS, Jackpot Party is now authorised to commence Belgian operations, removing itself from the perils of being included in that nation’s rapidly growing "black list" of ‘illegal' operators.

The A+ licence was awarded to Casino Van Knokke, one of four land casinos in the Partouche group, to which Jackpot Party provides internet gambling services through an online platform and games suite.

Back in April WMS revealed that the online site for Partouche's Belgian operation will include licensed themes such as The Wizard of Oz and I Love Lucy in addition to classic titles Super Jackpot Party, Goldfish, Life of Luxury Progressive, Reel ‘Em In and Zeus-themed slots.

Belgian players will also have access to the Jackpot Party Progressive accumulating online jackpot.

Orrin Edidin, President for WMS and chief exec for William Interactive, said: “We look forward to working collaboratively to create cross-marketing opportunities that will complement Patrouche's land-based casino operations by providing players with the convenience of playing at home in addition to playing at the casino."

A spokesman for Partouche said that the new WMS-hosted Belgian domain will operate ‘under one of nine online casino licences awarded by the Belgium Gaming Commission and is expected to go live in the summer of 2013.
