Biggest buy-in tourney in Canadian poker history
 
The World Poker Tour's WPT Montreal leg has exceeded tour organisers expectations as well as set a record in the world of Canadian tournament poker with a field of 1 173 players, becoming the largest big buy-in tournament in the history of the country.
 
Day Two began at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal with 360 players working their way towards the bubble, led by Patrick Leviever with a chip count of 326 100, closely followed by Kalpesh Raichura with 314 200, Kerry Shears with 299 000 and Jeff Gross with 284 000.
 
As we went to press, there were 248 players left from the original 360 equating to an average loss of one player a minute.
