WPT aces sample the highlife in Paris

The World Poker Tour literally pushed the boat out in entertaining its WPT champions in Paris for the WPT Grand Prix de Paris at the Aviation Club this week.

On Thursday a lunchtime cruise was organised, gliding along the River Seine from the Eiffel Tower and past Paris’ many historical and modern landmarks, including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Conciergerie, the Musee d’Orsay,  and the Louvre.

Friday saw the group gathering at one of the world's top restaurants – L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon – for a multi-course gourmet meal. The dinner included a champagne toast, a 7-course meal with 2 desserts and 4 wine magnums.

Held to celebrate the accomplishments of the champions, the guest list included birthday boy Marvin Rettenmaier, Chino Rheem, Michael Mizrachi, Scott Siever, Joe Serock, Will Failla and Yevgeniy Timoshenko.

The very professional Youtube video here shows how much the dinner, and the presence of the famous chef himself, was appreciated:

Following the dinner, the champs were whisked off to the Queen nightclub, where they joined other Grand Prix de Paris participants for the WPT Players Party. Queen is one of the top nightclubs in Paris and has featured globally famous DJs, including David Guetta, Avicii, Bob Sinclair and Martin Solveig.

The evening included a competition for France’s best DJ.
