Massive entry field For WSOP Millionaire Maker
Monday June 3,2013 : WORLD SERIES OF POKER'S ‘MILLIONAIRE MAKER' A HUGE SUCCESS
Massive entry field and plenty of action as top players pile in
One of this year's World Series of Poker innovations – the $1500 buy-in NLHE Millionaire Maker competition – has so far proved to be an unqualified success, with Day 1A entries topping 3,713 and a further 2,630 hopefuls piling in on Day 1B – many of them top international players.
That meant that the event (#6 on the WSOP schedule of 62 events) has broken the WSOP attendance record with 6,343 players going after the first prize of $1,198,780…a 799 times return on buy-in investment.
By the second day over this weekend only 690 players remained, with Scott Clements leading the charge for the lion's share of the massive $8,563,050 prize pool.
