Poker : Wsop Event 29 : Day 3

6/18/10  – 13 players took their seats Thursday afternoon in a bid to reach a final table and a winner on Day 3 of event 29, a $10,000 Limit Hold'em World Championship competition that had a starter field on Day 1 of 171 top players.

The survivors as the third day of action started included Michael Mizrachi, who has already taken a bracelet in the Player’s Championship event this year, and Brock Parker, who holds two bracelets won in 2009. David Chiu, Matt Keikoan and Jameson Painter were also still active and ambitious.

By 9.30pm Vegas time Thursday only four players remained, with Matt Keikoan leading on 1.7 million chips, chased by Daniel Idema (1.68 million); Jameson Painter (1.25 million) and Kyle Ray (375 000).

The final table was set when Anh Van Nguyen busted out in tenth place, with David Chiu the first of the final table players to head for the exit and a $39 760 payday.

Mike Mizrachi did not last the course, heading for the rail in eighth place for $49 732, followed by Simon Morris in the seventh spot for $62 897 and Zvi Groysman taken out in sixth for $80 884.

Brock Parker had a roller coaster day, repeatedly staging talented comebacks when he seemed about to go down, but he was eventually busted out in fifth for the first of the six figure payouts in the event of $105 783.
