Wednesday July 6, 2011 : Event 57: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-low Split-8 or Better is the last of the bracelet events before the much-awaited main event starts this Thursday, and pulled in 352 entries (2010: 284 registrations) creating a prize pool of $1.65 million.
 
Quick-spotting reporters noted the presence among the tables of Will Failla, Marco Traniello, Daniel Negreanu, Chino Rheem, Chris Bjorin, Allen Kessler, Shannon Shorr, Greg Raymer, Bill Chen, defending champ Chris Bell, John Cernuto, Lee Watkinson, Alex Kravchenko, James Dempsey, Alex Gomes, Mike Sexton, Claudio Rinaldi, Roberto Romanello, Dan Shak, Joe Tehan, Phil Laak, Galen Hall, Erik Seidel, John Hennigan and Ali Eslami.
 
Well into the small hours of Wednesday morning level 8 had been reached, with 189 players left, led by Alexandre Gomes on 73,000  and Max Pescatori on 72,000…but there are still plenty of experts competing, several of them in the top ten chip counts.
