Electronic Arts and Caesars Interactive Entertainment collaboration
 
The World Series of Poker for Facebook, a collaboration between Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) and Electronic Arts (EA), launched on Facebook this week.
 
The cross-platform initiative allows fans to login, access their chip stacks, or play a game on Apple and Android smartphones and tablets and now Facebook.
 
The app pulls features and functions straight from the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and is designed to appeal to both novices and pro players.  It offers players the challenge of winning virtual rings and bracelets plus there are VIP rooms to explore and Pro status levels that can only be unlocked with skill.
 
Poker fans can challenge friends, family and opponents from around the world to hone their skills and win virtual prizes as well as access poker statistics and engage in live chat.
