CIE press conference Monday set to reveal WSOP.com start date
 
A high powered team of senior Caesars Interactive Entertainment executives headed by CEO Mitch Garber is scheduled to appear at a CIE press conference in Las Vegas Monday at which it is anticipated that the long-awaited launch date for Nevada's second legal online poker website will be announced.
 
CIE and 888 have partnered on the project to launch WSOP.com, an online poker site leveraging the prestigious World Series of Poker brand owned by CIE.
 
Despite the experience and resources devoted to it, the project did not manage to beat Fertitta Interactive's Ultimate Poker.com in the first-to-market race in Nevada, but the site will take Nevada intrastate online poker legalization another step forward and give local players more choice.
 
Among those facing the press on Monday with Garber will be World Series of Poker executive director Ty Stewart and head of poker Bill Rini
