Online and live tournament pro wins Euro 238,140

Online and live tournament poker pro Steve Billirakis won his first World Series of Poker bracelet at the tender age of 21 back in 2007, and this week he had the satisfaction of adding a second piece of the respected jewellery to his collection at the WSOP Europe in Cannes, France.

Billirakis surged to victory in the Euro 5,300 Pot Limit Omaha event after dominating a talented and hungry final table that included tough competitors like Sam Trickett, Eoghan O'Dea, Ramzi Jelasi, Erich Kolman and Sam Chartier.

However, it was none of those who faced Billirakis in the heads up, Itlaina di Lauro was the final obstacle to triumph, which Billirakis overcame to claim the Euro 238,140 main prize, boosting his career earnings to over $2 million.
