Mizrachi tops as first flight of Day 1 ends
 
The first of two Day 1 entry flights at the 2012 World Series of Poker Europe kicked off over the weekend with an entry list of 215 players that included formidable players like  Michael Mizrachi, Tobias Reinkemeier, Phil Ivey, Dan Shak, Matt Stout, JC Alvarado, Jennifer Tilly, Steve O’Dwyer, Victor Ramdin, Vanessa Selbst, Chris Moorman, Nam Le and JC Tran.
 
98 players were eliminated by the time the flight bagged up, with Mizrachi way out in front with just under a quarter million chips.
 
Among those who fell by the wayside were JenniferTilly, Fabrice Soulier, Will Failla, Jeff Lisandro, Frank Kassela and Tobias Reinkemeier.
 
The ISPT's Prosper Masquelier more than held his own and will progress to the next stage.
 
The second flight of Day 1 goes into action Sunday with names like Daniel Negreanu, Tristan Wade and Jason Mercier expected to take their seats in a slighter larger field. Last year the event attracted almost 600 entries.
