2013 WSOP Events 4 and 5


Monday June 3,2013 : BEAUPREZ AND GORODINSKY TAKE WSOP EVENTS 4 AND 5
 
Three first’s for Beauprez and a serious heads-up battle for Gorodinsky
 
With the 2013 World Series of Poker well under way John Beauprez took down German poker pro Manig Loeser following a three hour heads up in Event 4, the $1 500 Six Handed No Limit Holdem event.
 
The event which drew 1 069 players and generated a prize pool of $1 443 150 saw the 28 year old win $324 764, the biggest payday of his career, his first WSOP final table and his first WSOP victory.
 
Final table results looked like this:

Event 5, a $2500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi Low mix event, saw Mike Gorodinsky emerge the winner having finished as chip leader on Day 2.
 
Gorodinsky outlasted Kristopher Tong in a hotly contested heads up earning himself $216 988 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
 
Julie Schneider secured eighth place becoming the first woman to make a final table appearance in this year's WSOP.
 
This event saw George Danzer and Owais Ahmed make their second appearance at the final table following mixed fortunes in previous years.  Other notable players who cashed include Max Pescatori  Mike Matusow and Daniel Negreanu.
 
The $2 500 Sutd 8/Omaha 8 event final table finished up:
