2-7 Triple Draw Lowball is Benny Glaser's favourite game.
 
In a particularly satisfying victory playing his favourite poker variant British writer Benny Glaser (26) won his first World Series of Poker bracelet Thursday, along with the $136,215 main prize.
 
Playing with smooth efficiency in the $1,500 buy-in event 33 – a 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball competition – Glaser bested a field of 387 other entrants to claim the biggest share of the $523,800 prize pool. It was his second WSOP cash on his second WSOP annual pilgrimage.
 
"This is one of my very best games, I play it all the time, mostly online," Glaser said later.
 
The final table in the event featured two former bracelet winners in Andrew Brown and Glaser's opponent in the heads up, the experienced Brock Parker –  a three-bracelet professional who started the heads up with a 4 to 1 lead that appeared to be unassailable.
 
However, Glaser proved that he had the skill and discipline to play himself back into the game, and aided by some good cards he did just that, eventually overtaking and then relegating Parker to a second placing pay day of $84,132.
