Breon Corcoran appointed Chief Operating Officer of Paddy Power

Online and land gambling group Paddy Power plc has announced that Breon Corcoran, formerly managing director of its Non-Retail & Development activities, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.
 
In addition to maintaining responsibility for the company's online businesses, its Australian operations and development opportunities in certain key geographies, Corcoran is also assuming responsibility for both the technology function and group human resources function.
 
Corcoran joined the gambling group in April 2001 with responsibility for development of the non-retail business. In May 2006, his role was expanded to include responsibility for new business development, strategy and acquisitions.
 
He previously worked with J.P.Morgan and Bankers Trust, and is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin with an MBA from INSEAD. He was appointed to the Board in August 2004.
