Chartwell Technology to power Centrebet

6/24/10 – Canadian software provider Chartwell Technology Incorporated has announced that the Australian internet gambling group Centrebet International Limited has become the latest firm to select its Chartwell Games Platform (CGP) to power a Flash-based online casino.

Founded in 1992, Centrebet has grown into a major online gaming and wagering provider and has over 60,000 active customers across its core markets of Australia, Greece and Scandinavia.

The plan is to launch a Flash-based online casino this summer using the CGP and featuring the Calgary-based software provider’s full complement of proprietary games in addition to third-party supplier content.

“Our success in attracting such an internationally recognised marquee brand as Centrebet is a direct result of the dedication of the Chartwell team to deliver the most advanced gaming platform in the industry,” said Dan Phillips, chief executive of Chartwell Games (International) Limited.

“Centrebet is a great addition to our roster of market-leading clients, following hot on the heels of Casino Austria, who we announced last month, and a strong pipeline of others coming,” he added.

Chris Bowler, head of European operations at  Centrebet, said: “The range of content, flexibility and power of the CGP, and its plans for the future were defining factors. We are looking forward to working with Chartwell closely as we continue to grow our business.”
