Promotion from within

Finnish gambling monopoly Alands Penningautomatforening (PAF) has appointed Anders Wiklund to replace Thomas Lundberg in the role of deputy chief executive officer.

Lundberg has resigned from the position to take up that of managing director of Alandsbanken Group subsidiary Crosskey.

“It was an extremely difficult decision to leave PAF because I have enjoyed this job so much. I think the timing for the change is good given that we have turned around PAF’s figures and growth is continuing. I am very grateful that I have had six years of development together with the inspiring people at PAF,” said Lundberg.

Anders Wiklund has been promoted from within PAF's ranks having previous held the position of Consumer Experience Manager.  He is currently working alongside Lundberg to ensure a smooth transition when he officially takes over the role on March 1, 2012.

“It feels like an honour to be taking over this important role because PAF’s online games are such a large part of the surplus PAF generates for good causes,” said Wiklund.

Anders Ingves, chief executive officer for PAF said: "It didn’t take long before PAF had a replacement. It is a strength that we can recruit a PAF director and a new member of group management from our own ranks. Anders Wiklund has many good qualities and I am convinced that he can motivate our staff to new levels of achievement.”
