Bally Technologies Gets Alderney Gambling License

Wednesday September 5, 2012 : BALLY GETS ITS ALDERNEY LICENCE

Application lodged in May bears fruit

The Gibraltar subsidiary of US gambling supplier Bally Technologies has been granted a core service associate e-gaming certificate with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) following its application in May this year (see previous InfoPowa report.

The category is described by the AGCC as applicable to “an entity (other than a Category 2 eGambling licensee) to whom a Category 1 eGambling licensee transfers customers, or allows them to be transferred, for the purpose of that entity effecting gambling transactions with the customer or arranging for those customers to gamble with others”.

InfoPowa readers will recall that Bally bought Chiligaming’s B2B igaming platform earlier this year and has shown a growing interest in entering the online gambling market as a supplier.

The company is believed to have also requested a Gibraltar licence to enable it to set up servers on The Rock.
