04/02/2012 : ONLINE OPERATORS SECURE BELGIAN LICENSES
Wider choice for Belgian punters
Two more online gambling licenses have been issued in Belgium, giving local punters a wider choice of internet casino and poker action.
Golden Palace's .be site and Win2Day are the latest licensees, having been awarded B+ and A+ licensing respectively.
Whilst Golden Palace.com is well known throughout the online gambling industry, it has no relationship at all with the new Belgian site, and is in fact among those operators blacklisted by the Belgians.
The Belgian site offers poker on the Ongame network, and its new licence covers brick and mortar operations as well as internet offerings.
Win2Day has previously been principally involved in Austrian poker operations. Its new .be site will be competing in the Belgian market with the likes of Casino777, Partouche and PartyPoker.
InfoPowa readers will recall that this company is owned by Casinos Austria, which acquired the Vienna-based 3D video gaming software provider Rabcat for an undisclosed consideration back in 2010.
The Belgian gambling regulator has also updated its black list of illegal operators, adding twenty new brands that include Everest, 888, Chilipoker and Winamax.fr.
