UK Gaming Commission Monitering BetButler slow Pay problems

Wednesday July 2,2014 : CONCERNS OVER BETBUTLER CONTINUE (Update)

Will the UK Gaming Commission act beyond monitoring?

Player complaints of no or slow pay problems at online gambling site BetButler have been growing since February this year, and have become so persistent that the UK Gambling Commission is monitoring the situation

How long the situation will be allowed to continue only the regulator knows, but there are now reports of players having to resort to litigation to receive their winnings.

Certainly the prolonged explanation offered by the operator that the problems are technical in nature is less credible as its failure to timeously meet its obligations to players drags on.

In April the Gaming Commission began taking an interest in developments, and now claims it has engaged with the operator…but that has apparently not yet resolved the issues for players.

Certainly the Gambling Commission has the power to intervene; back in April this year it illustrated that it was prepared to exercise that authority when it revoked the licence for Bodugi.com, which allegedly failed to cooperate with investigations into non-payments to customers that began in February.  Another revocation case was that against Canbet .

Presumably BetButler is cooperating with the Commission…but how long will it be before the regulator has to take more drastic action?
