BETFAIR OPENS ON NEW ZEALAND HARNESS RACING

The New Zealand Herald reports that the first race at Invercargill, New Zealand this week heralds the beginning of a commitment from betting exchange Betfair to bet on all New Zealand harness races.
 
While no agreement has been reached on what percentage of profits will be returned to New Zealand racing, Betfair has signed an integrity agreement with Racing organisations, reports the Herald.
 
The percentage of profits debate will depend largely on the New Zealand courts decision in the pending case between New South Wales racing authorities and Betfair.
