Start-up officially launches own gaming platform
Eindhoven-based game development studio Sheriff Gaming titles will continue to be marketed by the newly-launched Blue Gem Gaming.
Curacao-licenced Blue Gem Gaming is the development team that originally created the games and exclusively licensed its IP to Sheriff Gaming whilst the company was trading.
Readers will recall Sheriff Gaming parent group Bubble Group BV filing for bankruptcy earlier this year following action by Dutch authorities who claimed that chief executive officer Stijn Flapper and others were involved in money laundering and illegal gambling practices among other charges.
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission subsequently pulled Bubble Group BV's category 2 online gaming licence following an investigation into the claims
Blue Gem’s games platform offers 3D casino games including progressive and classic slots, mobile and table games, video poker, keno and scratch cards, that include favs such as "The Amsterdam Masterplan", "Spartania" and "Dr Magoo's Adventures".
Blue Gem Gaming confirmed it launched an independent platform earlier this year that enabled the development team to continue creating and licencing its games. It is unclear which Sheriff Gaming employees and/or management are involved in the new company.
