Gambling Commission revokes Bodugi license

Monday April 7,2014 :  ONLINE POKER COMPANY LICENCE PULLED IN BRITAIN

Gambling Commission revokes Bodugi license following a review of its operations.

Bodugi Limited, a social sports betting company founded in 2010 by Dave Nevison and Michael Wilson styling itself as one of the pioneers in the sector, is out in the cold after the British Gambling Commission pulled its licence this week.

Back in February this year the Commission announced that it was suspending the licence whilst it carried out an investigation into concerns related to the ability of customers to withdraw funds from Bodugi and the lack of response to its requests to discuss such matters with the firm.

Bodugi has been remarkably silent on the issue and is currently off-line.

The Commission's revocation order is issued in terms of sections 117(2)(f) and 119(1) of the Gambling Act 2005:

"Unsuitability to carry out licensed activities in a manner which is consistent with the licensing objectives, and breach of licensing conditions”, along with a failure to cooperate during the review.
