Online and video lottery terminals drive growth in 2013 provisional results

Casinos Austria International's (CAI) Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group report that, despite the ongoing economic crisis, it has held its ground following a further rise in sales in its provisional fiscal 2013 results of just under one percent to Euro 3.57 Billion.

Success in its Austrian Lotteries online subsidiary win2day.at achieved a 5 percent growth to Euro 1.2 billion and the company's WINWIN video lottery terminals outlets grew 20 percent to Euro 551 Million.

Although final 2013 sales figures for the group’s domestic and international casino operations were not yet available, Casinos Austria said current indications suggest they will lie just under the levels achieved in 2012.

The Group's 12 casinos in Austria saw 2.36 million guests through its doors in 2013, representing a 1.7 percent year-on-year increase and its highest visitor numbers since 2008.

Final sales figures and results for 2013 for the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group will be published in early April.
