Breon Corcoran, the savvy former Paddy Power exec and current CEO of Betfair, has been identified as an early investor in fast-growing Irish company Datahug, which has won awards for its innovative relationship management software.
The Sunday Independent newspaper reported over the weekend that Corcoran owns 1.3 percent of the company, and that other smart investors in its Euro 1 million seed-funding in 2011 include Silicon Valley investor Ron Conway; Bill McCabe's Oyster Capital; Brian Caulfield's DFJ Esprit; and Salesforce.com. Last summer the company was successful in raising a further Euro 5 million.
Founded in 2009 by Connor Murphy and Ray Smith, the company has offices in Dublin, San Francisco and New York and a client list that includes major companies like Grant Thornton and BDO.
