E-sports Odds: The International 2016

E-Sports Odds: The International Keeps Getting Bigger

Every year, The International sets a new record. This is by far the largest E-sports tournament in the world, with a prize pool of $18.7 million (and growing) up for grabs in 2016. The best Dota 2 teams from around the world will gather at KeyArena in Seattle, starting August 3 and wrapping up with the Grand Finals on August 13. And the best of the best, leading the way at +250, is the juggernaut known as OG.

There isnt a hotter team on the planet right now. OG (hailing from Europe and captained by
Tal “Fly” Aizik) have already won two Dota 2 majors this year, the Manila Major and the ESL One Frankfurt. No other team has won more than one official Valve Corporation event – Valve being the developers and publishers of Dota 2.

As usual, Team Liquid are the one team in the 18-team field (including the four Wild Cards) expected to give OG a serious run for their money. These European rivals have been at each others throats all year, with OG usually getting the better of it. Team Liquid are +400 at press time; Wings Gaming (+550) and Newbee (+650) are the second-tier contenders.
