EUROSPORTBET.CO.UK SHUTS DOWN

The UK-facing sports betting website EurosportBET.co.uk owned by French Broadcaster TF1 has notified customers that it will be shutting down and will no longer accept new members based anywhere other than France.
 
The notification on its website reads:

EurosportBET have decided to close its UK operation on the 14th March 2011.
 
Consequently, both deposits and registrations are not possible anymore. Accounts will remain open to either place bets on events up to the 14th March or request a withdrawal of funds via the my account section.
 
The open bets that are due to settlement later this year will stay opened till the end and will be paid if they are winning ones.

Just days ago the French newspaper La Tribune reported that  TF1 has entered into exclusive talks with Alexandre Dreyfus, the founder of the Chilipoker online poker site regarding the possible sale of TF1's EurosportBet.fr gambling website.  Both parties declined to comment.
