World Cup helps boost growth at French online bookmaker.

French online bookmaker France Pari has reported on a half year that has seen revenues double, thanks to a boost from World Cup football betting and increases in mobile usage.

In H1-2014 revenues doubled to Euro 9 million compared with the same period last year, with the World Cup football competition in Brazil generating an additional Euro 1.2 million for the group, enabling it to achieve net income of Euro 190,000  on margins of 20.2 percent over the half-year.

Expanded usage of the France Pari mobile channels also assisted in building revenues, with an increase of 30 percent in mobile wagering posted.

France Pari's B2B business appears to have flourished as well, with income from royalties and licensing fees rising from Euro 250,000 in H1-2013 to Euro 500,000 this year as three new clients launched on the platform – Zeturf.fr and .it, and Eurotierce in Belgium.
