Fulltilt Poker Pays French Players

Friday November 2, 2012 :  FULL TILT SETTLES FRENCH PLAYERS (Update)

But Italians must still bide their time

Full Tilt Poker's software beta-test has this week allowed players from Estonia, Belgium, Denmark and Spain to access their accounts for the first time in 16 months, participate in play-money poker games  and provides PokerStars account pairing functionality prior to the poker companies official re-launch date of November 6, 2012.

French players were afforded the same functionality today as PokerStars in cooperation with the French online gambling authority ARJEL opened up its doors allowing players to transfer funds from their Full Tilt Poker account to a PokerStars.fr account.

Italian players, however, will still need to exercise patience as PokerStars said it is working on overcoming obstacles and as such continues its consultations with legal advisers and the Italian authorities to resolve the situation.

Eric Hollreiser, head of corporate communications for PokerStars said:  "For the millions of players who will have access to their funds, this marks the end of a long and emotional roller-coaster ride. We hope this begins a new journey that allows players to enjoy two great poker sites – Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars – with the confidence in the shared ownership of The Rational Group, who will ensure the safety and security of your funds and the integrity of your poker action."
