Jake Bazeley wins WSOP Harrah’s Cherokee Main Event

Win brings tournament earnings to almost $2 Million but first WSOP-related victory

Cincinnati poker professional Jake Bazeley took down the WSOP Harrah’s Cherokee Main Event this week, his first WSOP-related victory.

The 31-year-old earned earned $239 096, a Circuit gold ring and a seat in the season-ending National Championship.

Play moved quickly in the third and final day of play with the field narrowing from 12 to 9 in less than an hour.

Bazeley went into heads up play against Chad DeBerry with a 3-to-1 advantage ultimately emerging victorious as he outlasted a total field of 797 that created a $1,195,500 prize pool.
