Jamie Gold Sells WSOP Bracelet

Saturday August 3,2013 : JAMIE GOLD'S WORLD SERIES OF POKER WINNER'S BRACELET SOLD

Winner's bracelet in WSOP's biggest every main event sold at auction for $ $65,725

The much-rumoured sale of Jamie Gold's 2006 World Series of Poker main event winner's bracelet – the biggest main event recorded – was sold at a Heritage Auctions sale to an anonymous buyer for $65,725 this week…all without Gold's approval.

The bracelet, which is crafted from 120g of white gold and contains seven carats of diamonds, has apparently been the subject of legal issues involving Gold on which he has not been too forthcoming.

In a video interview earlier this year he said that whilst he opposed the sale of the bracelet, it was going forward as a result of "legal issues" and that he had no say in its disposal.
