Ladbrokes consolidates business

Around 100 redundancy's on the radar
 
Ladbrokes partnership with Playtech, aimed at accelerating its digital business, has led to the initiation of a 90-day consultation period that sees a number of Ladbrokes' employees being placed at risk of redundancy.
 
The company said a number of key tasks are set to be transferred to its newly established Ladbrokes Israel subsidiary in order to maximise the company's potential and general efficiency.
 
It is envisaged that around 100 Ladbrokes' employees at its Harrow headquarters will be affected by the process, said a company statement delivered after close of markets today (Tuesday).
