Las Vegas Sands confidential documents To Remain Sealed

Friday July 17,2015 : SANDS DOCUMENTS WILL REMAIN SEALED, SAY U.S. JUDGE

Turns down requests for access by three applicants.

Attempts by The Guardian (a British newspaper); the non-profit watchdog Campaign for Accountability and the hospitality industry union UNITE HERE to gain access to Las Vegas Sands confidential documents have been rebuffed by District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez.

Judge Gonzales says she will not lift the court seal on the Vickers Reports documents, which many believe could reveal a questionable business association between Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas Sands group and Chinese triad gangs.

The documents form part of litigation before Gonzales' Las Vegas court concerning the allegedly wrongful dismissal of the former Las Vegas Sands chief in Macau, Steven Jacobs

Judge Gonzales said that the documents contain sensitive commercial and gaming information that shouldn’t be made public.
