MALTA REGULATOR CLARIFIES POSITION ON BOSS MEDIA

Tuesday July 12, 2011 : LGA confirms that malicious Internet rumour is false

The widely discussed rumour that GTechG2’s Boss Media online gambling subsidiary has had its Malta licence revoked was firmly scotched this week in a notification displayed on regulator LGA’s website.

The notice, headed “False Report on Licensee”, read:

“The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (Malta) categorically denies the allegations published on an internet website in relation to LGA withdrawing the Gaming License held by Boss Media Network.

“The Authority would also like to clarify that the article makes reference to a certain Ivan Goncearuc as LGA Commissioner.  Ivan Goncearuc is a fictitious official, and is not and never was an employee of the Authority, and it reserves all the rights pertinent to it at law.

The alleged revocation has been creating interest on several message boards, including the influential 2plus2 forum, where the poster was rebuked for perpetuating a questionable report.
