Lloyd Melnick Appointed as Pokerstars Director of Social Gaming

Social gaming veteran comes well qualified

Amaya Gaming’s Rational Group has appointed former Zynga exec Lloyd Melnick as Director of Social Gaming focusing on PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker.

Melnick comes well qualified having served as senior director of Zynga’s social casino, chief growth officer at Spooky Cool and general manager international publishing at Playdom/Disney.

Melnick relocated to the Isle of Man to take up the position in which he will be leading and building the team responsible for replicating PokerStars’ success in the real money gaming world into social gaming.

He reveals on his personal webpage that Rational sees great opportunities in social casino, slots and social sports betting too.

“The opportunity was irresistible because of Rational’s focus on the player. It has grown to be the leading real-money gaming poker product because of a laser focus on making their players’ happy,” Melnick said.  “This customer-centric philosophy has not yet been tried in the social space and I find it incredibly compelling.”
