The surprise resignation this week of Las Vegas Sands Bethlehem, Pa., chief executive Robert DeSalvio has sparked speculation that his departure may be linked to the extensive hacking of his and other Las Vegas Sands corporate websites earlier this month
 
Silvio denies this is the case, but has revealed little further about his motivation for resigning or future plans.
 
The highly experienced casino executive and businessman has been president and chief exec of the company since it was launched four years ago.
