EXPECT MACAU GAMING INDUSTRY TO SLOW DOWN SAYS GOV

Macaubusiness.com reports that the boom in Macau's gambling industry is set to slow down in the near future and warnings have again been sounded that the current high growth in the gambling market on the island should not be expected to continue indefinitely.
 
Macau's secretary for Economy and Finance, Francis Tam Pak Yuen says the government is poised to control the level of expansion of the sector and said "in future we shall only see the industry increasing by a few percentage points every year".
 
He cautioned youngsters to think twice before joining the industry, as it will be unlikely the gaming sector will continue to provide the large number of jobs as it used to in the past.
