Macau Gambling revenues continue to climb

Friday July 1,2011 : Gambling revenues continue to climb

The Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau released Macau's latest gaming revenue results for June 2011, this week.

The results are again impressive and attributed to the high number of Chinese mainland tourists.

The former Portuguese enclave posted an annual rise in gaming revenue of 52.4 percent to 20.8 billion Patacas ($2.55 billion) for the month of June 2011.  Slightly below record results posted in May 2011, which were ascribed to a week-long public holiday and the opening of the Galaxy Macau.
