Initiative will be supported by TV ads and social networking promos
 
Maria Poker online operations, already popular in Scandinavian countries, will soon be launched in the United Kingdom, parent group Unibet has announced.
 
The launch of Maria.com will be handled by WFCA, a UK digital advertising agency, following a four way creative pitch, and will include television and social networking activity.
 
The agency will create a direct response TV campaign designed to set it apart from the normal Vegas style sites, a company spokesman revealed this week.
 
It will introduce the brand to the UK audience and build long-term engagement with the core female demographic audience using humour and social media.
 
A new look to the website and upgraded player interface has been created specifically for the UK launch, which has been scheduled for late 2012.
 
Unibet acquired the Maria brand as an online bingo vehicle in 2007 for GBP54 million (see previous InfoPowa reports) and has expanded it into oline poker and casino enterprises.
