Macau Revenues Up In May 2013

13.5 percent increase reported across the islands land casinos
 
Land casino revenues soared again in China's gambling enclave Macau, rising 13.5 percent in May from a year earlier, boosted by an improving Chinese domestic economy and a week of national holidays that spurred visits from wealthy Chinese.
 
The Reuters news agency reports that official figures show that May revenue was 29.6 billion patacas (US$3.7 billion), the second-strongest figure this year. Analysts had forecast a rise of between 12 and 15 per cent for May.
