Alessandro Siena Leads Final Table of MPNPT Malta Main Event. The final table is set in the €550 MPNPT Malta Main Event, with nine players still in contention for the trophy and €35,000 top prize. Out in front, by a large margin, is Italian online pro Alessandro Siena, with nearly double the chips of second place Cihan Eren.
The Main Event total prize pool stands at €178,480, comfortably above the €150,000 guarantee after a bumper Day 2 saw the total entries rise to 368. Prizes have already been paid out to most of the top 44 finishers, with a min-cash worth €1,100 and the next player eliminated now receiving €3,000. Tomorrow’s winner is set to bag €35,000 – almost double the amount the last MPNPT Malta champion, Csaba Malnai, won in 2014.
With Quentin Laucher finishing on the bubble this afternoon (45th place), the remaining players were guaranteed a share of the prize money; Laucher himself received entry into MPNPT Manchester as a consolation prize. The elimination of Oleg Egorov in 12th (€2,500) left us with a winner in the Last Longer King promotion (for qualifiers from Betsson, Betsafe, NordicBet, Triobet and Bets10). It was Adrian Huzevka (currently third in chips) who took the crown, and a free €1,500 MPNPT Manchester (20-23 July) package.
