Daniel Negreanu has stated that he will not play on six-max cash tables during his bid to turn $10 into $100,000.
Kid Poker explained on the Full Contact Poker forum that playing ring games minimised the chances that he would experience a downswing.
According to the four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, it is easier to "hide" in a ring game and he found there were more opportunities to "be a bit more nitty".
In response to a question asking him to explain his avoidance of six-max games, Negreanu said: "The shorter you go, the more hands you need to play and the more swingy it gets."
Negreanu's bankroll building exercise was inspired by a similar project undertaken by five-time WSOP bracelet winner Chris Ferguson.
He aimed to make $10,000 through online Poker without any start-up cash.
In the early stages of his attempt, he played in freeroll tournaments to make enough money to play cash games.
