FIRST DRAFT OF NEVADA ONLINE POKER REGULATIONS UP FOR DISCUSSION

Monday  September 19,2011 :  Workshop on September 28 will be open to the public

Nevada media reports this week are that the first draft of the proposed Nevada regulations on internet poker will be discussed at a workshop open to the public to be held from midday on September 28.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has drafted the regulations as part of its tasking from state lawmakers, who earlier this year passed an intrastate legalization law conditional on a similar federal approval of the pastime.

Once a fully-approved version of the draft is agreed, it will be put to the vote in the Gaming Control Board and then forwarded to the Nevada Gaming Commission. This body will then oversee public hearings before submitting the refined regulations to a final vote, which will hopefully be concluded by December this year, and will then await the federal moves taking place in Congress.
