Testing Extension For nevada Poker Licensees

Thursday February 7,2013 : NEVADA ONLINE POKER LICENSEES GIVEN EXTENSION FOR TESTING

Better safe than sorry…

The care with which Nevada online poker licence holders are approaching technology testing was acknowledged Wednesday when the Nevada Gaming Control Board granted extensions for technology testing to South Point Poker, ACEP Interactive and Monarch Interactive.

The approval now goes to the Nevada Gaming Commission for ratification on February 21, and gives the three companies a further six months to complete their technical preparations.

Representatives of the three companies said they were in various stages of testing, with some pointing out that in addition there are new variables to take into consideration, including whether federal lawmakers would again consider legalization governing online poker in 2013, and Nevada’s latest legislative moves to amend its online poker law to empower the governor to negotiate agreements with other states on player pools
