Three More online poker licenses approved in Nevada

Thursday, October 4, 2012 : NEVADA REGULATOR APPROVES THREE MORE ONLINE POKER LICENCE APPLICANTS

Boyd Gaming, Golden Nugget and Fertitta Interactive set for Nevada Gaming Commission meet on October 18

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has recommended that three more companies be granted intrastate online poker licenses, progressing the applications of Boyd Gaming, Golden Nugget and Fertitta Interactive to the Nevada Gaming Commission for approval.

The Commission will probably consider the applications at its October 18 meeting.

The Boyd Group, a respected land casino owner which signed a partnership agreement with Bwin's BP Gaming earlier this year wants licensing as both an operator and a service provider, whilst Golden Nugget has teamed with Bally Technologies and between them the two companies will have operator and service provider licenses.

Fertitta Interactive, a company owned by the founders and part-owners of the Station Casino land gambling group, is the third in the current round of applications; the company acquired poker software developer Cyberarts last year and now wants operator and service provider licensing through its Ultimate Gaming brand.

Currently 8 companies have been approved for licensing by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
