The UK internet gambling software developer Openbet has announced that it is to supply online gambling group Betfair with its mobile betting back-end platform.
 
Recent independent statistics show that mobile is becoming an ever more important channel within the online gaming industry as the consumer increasingly embraces the possibilities of betting on the move.
 
The evolution of the smartphone has paved the way for product developers to offer clients a vastly improved user experience, delivering advanced technology and features such as in-play betting to
customers’ mobile devices.
 
The Openbet system can be integrated with existing management systems and has a single wallet facility with detailed views of customer activity. This functionality gives operators the ability to manage
liabilities more effectively, target marketing and promotional activity in mobile gaming and ensure jurisdictional obligations are upheld, a company spokesman claimed this week.
 
Openbet’s client roster for the product includes sports betting majors like Paddy Power, William Hill,
Ladbrokes, Sky Bet and Centrebet.
