DraftKings in Deal With OPTA

Wealth of information will help daily fantasy sport players with their selections.
 
Daily fantasy sports football fans on the DraftKings site will soon have access to a greater volume of relevant information to assist in their selections following a deal with data provider Opta.
 
The data provider will deliver live football performance statistics for the English Premier League, North America’s Major League Soccer and the Uefa Champions League European club competition to DraftKings, which will deploy the information for the benefit of its players, allowing them to select teams of 11 instead of eight. Scoring categories will now also include statistics on tackles and passes intercepted.
 
DraftKings spokesman, Mark Nerenberg said this week: “The DraftKings partnership with Opta marks one of many steps we are taking to adapt our product as we work to serve and excite new audiences around the world. Opta’s renowned sports data and analysis capabilities will enhance our games, making them more dynamic for our fans."
