Monday April 11,.2016 : PADDY POWER UP TO ITS GUERILLA MARKETING STUNTS AGAIN AT GRAND NATIONAL RACE
Human pyramid at finish line.
Paddy Power was up to its guerilla marketing tricks again this week, targeting the massive popularity and coverage of the Grand National horserace in the UK.
Media reports showed a three-person pyramid created when the participants positioned themselves on the finish line, climbed on each other's shoulders and, supported by others on the ground, unfurled a Paddy Power banner.
The incident occurred as runners and riders were on the final furlong and heading towards the finish line, and the three participants were asked to depart Aintree after the stunt, although it does not appear that any other action was taken against them.
Rule The World stole the show in Britain's biggest race of the year with the 33/1 shot pipping The Last Samurai to the post.
Paddy Power later publicised the stunt on Twitter, declaring: "When the #GrandNational is taking a while and you have to entertain yourself somehow."
