PARTOUCHE POKER TOUR GRAND FINALE THIS WEEKEND

Thursday,  November 10, 2011 : One million euro prize awaits the winner

Following the excitement of Pius Heinz's World Series of Poker main event win Tuesday, the Partouche Poker Tour comes to its climax at the Palm Beach Casino in Cannes, France this weekend, with the final table action kicking off on November 12.

After a WSOP-like hiatus for television coverage purposes, the young UK pro Sam Trickett on 2,605,000 is leading a final table that comprises Alexandre Coussy 2,473,000; Salman Behbehani 2,446,000; Mads Wissing 2,144,000; Mustapha Kanit 2,047,000; Roger Hairabedian 1,890,000; Oleksii Kovalchuk 1,626,000; Ilan Boujenah 1,241,000 and Alexander Dovzhenko 944,000.

The winner will claim a prize of Euro 1 million.

The nine are the survivors of an original field of 579 players who registered for the Euro 8,500 buy-in event back in September this year, playing down to a final table before taking a break for a few months.

Among the original starters were big names like Juan Maceiras, Juha Helppi, Giuseppe Pantaleo and Ludovic Lacay.
