PartyPoker partners With Casino Sochi

Partypoker LIVE to become Casino Sochi primary partner. Four-year deal includes WSOP-C Russia, MILLIONS Russia & Snowfest, and EAPT.  Partypoker LIVE has signed a four-year deal to become the primary partner for live poker tournaments at Russia’s fabulous Casino Sochi and Resort close to the Black Sea.

Since it first opened in January last year, Casino Sochi has become the premier tournament venue in the whole of Eastern Europe. It has hosted a series of huge poker events in 2017 – including partypoker LIVE MILLIONS which was the biggest poker tournament ever held in Russia with 999 players and a prizepool of $5,000,000.

The Casino’s new partnership with partypoker LIVE kicks off officially in May with the debut WSOP-C Russia. This spectacular event, which will bring one of the world’s most prestigious tournaments to Russia for the first time ever, is taking place from 13th- 29th May with prize pool guarantees of $5,000,000.

Further dates already lined up include the $10,000,000 guarantee partypoker MILLIONS Russia 4th-12th August and the $5,000,000 guarantee Eurasia Poker Tour (EAPT) and Russian Poker Championships in October.

Overall, the deal will see partypoker LIVE host at least eight events a year at Casino Sochi. Additional events include the first ever MILLIONS Snowfest, plus four seasonal Festival events – including the Sochi Poker Festival Summer in June and Sochi Poker Festival Autumn next November. All the partypoker LIVE Festivals at Sochi will include at least one tournament branded with the casino’s name and sponsored by partypoker LIVE.

Casino Sochi opened to huge fanfare in January 2017 and staged its first major event – partypoker LIVE Sochi – in March. Players thrilled to the luxurious new location, enjoying all the amenities of a top resort while relishing the fantastic poker on offer. Ukrainian pro Dmitry Chop was the Main Event champion, winning $225,000 after beating a gigantic 1,170-entry field.

Following that success, partypoker LIVE headed back to Sochi in August for partypoker MILLIONS Russia. The event attracted top players from all over the world, including partypoker LIVE Ambassador Sam Trickett along with East European stars such as partypoker sponsored pro Anatoly Fliatov and Dzmitry Urbanovich, Vladimir Troyanovskiy, Vitaly Lunkin, Andrey Pateychuk and Dmitry Vitkind. Aleksandr Gofman took down the Main Event for a cool $1,000,000 and took his place in the record books as the winner of the biggest poker tournament ever held in Russia.

WSOP-C Russia

The debut of the WSOP-C Russia kicks off on 13th May with a festival guarantee of $5,000,000. The WSOP-C Russia Main Event will feature a buy-in of $1,000 and a $2,000,000 guarantee running from 25th- 29th May.

The $5,000,000 WSOP-C Russia festival full schedule will follow soon but will include a High Roller, PLO and WSOP’s world famous Colossus event which will feature online day 1’s.
