Pennsylvania Planning Online Gambling Ban

Vows that Pennsylvania will not join the trend to legalised online gambling.
 
Pennsylvania state Senator Mike Stack, currently serving his fourth term of office in the eastern state, announced Wednesday that he plans to introduce a bill specifically banning online gambling legalization to the state Legislature.
 
The Democratic Party senator says that if Pennsylvania follows other US states in legalising online gambling it would present a significant risk for the state economy by creating the potential for a drop in revenues at brick-and-mortar casinos that have opened throughout the state in the last decade.
 
In other words he fears the spectre of "market cannibalisation" – a speculative threat that has been debunked by many gambling experts in recent months.
 
A recent survey of Pennsylvania voters showed that there was little appetite for further gambling expansion in the state
