Poker Cash Game Traffic Down 3% Last Week

The independent online poker monitor PokerScout reports traffic down 3 percent last week.
 
Online poker cash game traffic last week declined 3 percent – its ninth consecutive week of slumping numbers, reports the independent online poker monitor PokerScout.
 
Only one poker room or network on the top ten leader board experienced rising traffic, one was unchanged and the others were all in decline, the monitor observed..
 
Pokerstars remained the market leader, albeit with a lower-than-usual seven-day average of 15,500 cash game players; 888Poker trailed well behind on 2,100 players, with Bodog in third at 1,600 players.
 
Playtech's iPoker was recorded at fourth with 1,450 players, followed by PartyPoker and PokerStars.it, tied for fifth with 1,150 players each.
 
Full Tilt had 1,050 players, and the Spanish Pokerstars operation, Pokerstars.es attracted 850 players.
 
Successful French operator Winamax.fr was eighth with 950 players, ahead of its competition in the ring-fenced French market, Pokerstars.fr on 750 players, the last of the top ten sites.
 
PokerScout reports that cash game traffic assessed on a year-on-year basis is currently down 16 percent on 2014.
 
In the regulated US markets WSOP.com is recorded as attracting seven day average cash game traffic over the past week of 200 players, despite the shared player liquidity with Delaware.
 
Interestingly, PokerScout observes that during the annual World Series of Poker tournament, online poker patronage tends to ease, and that improved spring weather in the early April to late May weeks usually brings about a decrease in traffic as well.
